The Framework

The Gallant Creative
Framework.

A clear, objective assessment of what is strengthening or weakening the brand, used by Gallant to pressure-test briefs, work-in-progress and live campaigns.

Four pillars.
Four blunt questions.

The questions creative work has to answer before it's let anywhere near a media budget.

01Pillar

Coherence.

Does this feel like one deliberate brand or a series of executions?

  • Is the strategy visible in the work?
  • Are distinctive assets being reinforced or diluted?
  • Does this strengthen memory structures or fragment them?
02Pillar

Credibility.

Does the brand truly have permission to say or do this?

  • Has the brand earned the right to run this work?
  • Would this feel believable without explanation?
  • Does this strengthen trust or blow it up?
03Pillar

Distinctness.

Would anyone notice this and know who it is from?

  • Is there a clear point of difference vs category norms?
  • Does the work earn attention rather than borrow it?
  • Are the creative choices intentional or default?
04Pillar

Effectiveness.

Is this actually doing the job it was meant to do?

  • Is the objective clear and appropriate?
  • Is the creative idea aligned to that objective?
  • Is there evidence, learning or momentum?

How the work is judged

Three honest verdicts.

01

Off Track.

The work is weakening the brand. Intervention is required.

  • Inconsistent or contradictory signals
  • Borrowed attention or unearned positioning
  • Credibility strain or audience confusion
  • Activity without impact or learning
02

On Track.

The work is doing what it is supposed to do, but may not be building momentum.

  • Strategically sound
  • Internally aligned
  • Competent execution
  • Limited cumulative effect
03

Compounding.

The work is strengthening the brand over time. This is where brands win.

  • Clear, recognisable brand codes
  • Earned attention and growing distinctiveness
  • Credibility expanding
  • Learnings carried forward and built upon

What clients get

Direction, not decoration.

01

An assessment that identifies whether the work is weakening, holding, or compounding brand value.

02

Clear priorities, and decisive guidance on what to change, push or protect.

03

Independent methodology that avoids performative scoring and keeps the focus on trajectory.
